Our Story
Opening this café has been a dream I’ve carried with me for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be my own boss—someone who built something meaningful, welcoming, and full of heart. Growing up on big, home cooked Italian meals, especially the traditional Sunday dinners, meant hours on end spent around the table with family, sharing lots of laughs, sometimes tears and of course tons of jokes and sarcasm. Those times are the days I wish I could go back to & relive, especially with 4 of my most treasured role models, my grandparents, who I know would have absolutely loved to be a part of this! I’ve been patiently waiting for years to be fortunate enough to create a space where people can come & share those same times with their family, friends or even to just have a quiet moment to themselves over a cup of coffee. The Secret Garden Italian Café & Eatery is more than just a place to grab a bite—it’s the realization of my dream that started just a few blocks away. Growing up on Garden Street, I not only spent my days surrounded by the comforting smell of home-cooked Italian meals, but also the joy that came with sharing them. After years of working in restaurants and dreaming of opening one of my own, I decided it was time to bring that same warmth to my very own neighborhood. The Secret Garden is a casual, welcoming spot where guests can enjoy delicious Italian-inspired food—like chicken cutlets to-die-for, homemade fresh mozzarella, an espresso, or even just your average cup of coffee and a sandwich—in a space that feels like home. There are no servers or fuss; just counter service, cozy seating, and an atmosphere made for catching up with friends, working on your laptop, or enjoying a quiet moment with your thoughts. It’s a place built on love for food, family, and community—where people can gather, linger, and always feel like they belong.
